The mission of Student Health Services is to assist UTTC students to access high-quality healthcare while promoting the overall health and wellbeing of the students to help ensure their educational success.
Our Services...
The following services are provided to UTTC students (and their dependents) who are affiliated with a Federally Recognized Tribe.
Please bring the following when you come:
- Student ID
- Tribal Identification or Certification of Indian Blood
- Health Insurance Card (If Applicable)
- Birth Certificate (For Dependent Children Seeking Services)

Our Providers...
Ruth Hursman MSN, RN
Student Health Coordinator
Ruth has been a nurse for more than 35 years working in a wide variety of healthcare settings. She obtained her Bachelor’s in the Science of Nursing and her Master’s in Nursing Administration both from the University of Mary, Bismarck. Ruth is board certified in Emergency Nursing and has been working with Student Health at UTTC since January of 2018.

Allison Peltier, DNP, APRN, FNP-C
Nurse practitioner/Consultant
Allison has been a nurse for over 10 years and a nurse practitioner for over five years, working both in inpatient and ambulatory care settings. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Minnesota State University Moorhead and her Doctor of Nursing Practice from North Dakota State University. She currently is an assistant professor of practice at North Dakota State University and teaches in both the graduate and undergraduate nursing programs. She is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and has been working with Student Health at UTTC since April of 2017
