Salary: $14-$18.27 per hour
Summary Of Duties:
- Serves as a backup to the HR Benefits Administrator on administering various employee benefits, such as life accident (AD&D), medical, dental, vision, disability, workforce safety and insurance (WSI), Job Service Unemployment, FMLA, supplemental, retirement, COBRA, and EAP.
- Conducts and schedules new hire orientation and interviews.
- Communicate with all applicants’ regarding position, selection, or non-selection of a position.
- Responsible for contacting drug-testing facility for new hire drug testing(s).
- Enters new hire and selection information upon receipt.
- Responsible for I-9 employee eligibility completion and collection of proper forms or ID’s.
- Responsible to maintain all applications, from acceptance to hiring.
- Participate and assist the HR team on training’s campus wide for all staff within the UTTC organization: through development and implementation of training, manuals, and orientations.
- Responsible for answering the phones in the HR department, provides information to callers or transfers calls to appropriate personnel.
- Provides general knowledge of employment laws, policies & procedures, and practices.
- Creates files, posts and advertises all positions in a timely manner.
- Responsible for Background checks being conducted and maintained on all employees.
- Is responsible for the receipt and payment of ePR’s.
- Pulls reports, creates new hire orientation packets, and maintains office supplies.
- Must volunteer at a minimum of four (4) hours during Special Events Week.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:
- Normal working hours are from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm., Monday through Friday, with a one hour unpaid lunch break.
- May be required to work additional hours to complete assignments.
- Able to work in a face-paced setting and under pressure at times.
- May need to travel for professional development.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to sit at your desk for long periods at a time.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Will need to be able to bend, support and walk up and down stairs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Business Administration or related field is required.
- Two (2) years of work, related experience required.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Able to maintain strictest confidentially in all manners pertaining to human resources and employee information.
- Excellent writing and personal leadership skills are required.
- Demonstrated audio/video ability and experience required.
- Conducts themselves in a professional manner.
- Will need to be able to learn J1 HR Module.
- Will need to be proficient in Microsoft products especially PowerPoint and Word.
- Creative ability, writing proficiency, visual graphics design ability.
- Good organizer, meticulous, and good public speaker at ease moderating large groups.
