Working on Campus
UTTC students have the opportunity to work on campus through Federal Work Study (FWS) or Leadership Through Experience (LTE) programs. Student employment assists students with paying costs while pursuing their educational goals.
Student Employment Contract
The first step in student employment is reading and agreeing to the contract. Print this contract and bring it to the Financial Aid office to begin your student employment journey.

Eligibility
Complete Section A of the Contract. Bring contract to Financial Aid to verify employment eligibility.

Interview
Contact job supervisor for an interview. Bring the contract for the supervisor to complete section C.

Approval
Bring contract to Financial Aid. They will contact you and your supervisor when you are approved to start work.

Student Employment Programs
Federal Work Study (FWS)
This is a federally funded program established to assist students with financial need. Students work on campus to gain experience in their field of study and cover the cost of educational expenses while pursuing a degree.
Federal Work Study funds are granted to institutions to provide part-time work opportunites for enrolled students. Students who are in Financial Aid Suspension (SAP Suspension) are ineligable to participate in the FWS program. Eligible students receive at least the federal minimum wage while employed under the FWS program.
Learning Through Experience (LTE)
This is a campus-based program available to enrolled members of federally-recognized tribes. LTE promotes leadership and skill development while assisting with financial need to cover educational expenses. Students are eligible to work through the LTE program as long as they have unmet financial need. Students applying for the LTE program must provide a Certificate of Indian Blood (CIB) or tribal ID.
Students that are in financial aid suspension are ineligible for the LTE program. Students must maintain a 2.00 GPA and be enrolled at least half-time (6 credits); priority is given to full-time (12 credits or more) students.
