New/Transfer Student Requirements
- Complete the online admissions application.
All documents submitted to United Tribes Technical College (UTTC) become the property of UTTC and cannot be photocopied or returned.
- Official Transcripts
UTTC Admissions Office accepts official transcripts (High School/GED/College or University) mailed directly from the high school or post-secondary institution.
- High School Transcripts or GED: Official transcripts with a conferred graduation date or official GED scores are required. * Note: If applicant is a current high school student, a transcript demonstrating progress may be used for acceptance. An admissions hold will be placed on the account until the final high school transcript is received.
- Post-Secondary (College/University) Transcripts: An official transcript is required if you have earned college credits from another institution. Official transcripts from all other colleges or universities previously attended (including dual credit) reflecting final term grades or activity such as withdrawals, ‘W’, will be accepted.
- International Transcripts: World Education Services (WES) must evaluate all transcripts (secondary and post-secondary) for education completed outside of the United States.
- UTTC accepts electronic transcripts from the National Student Clearinghouse and Parchment.

- Placement Test Scores
The Accuplacer test and other accepted placement tests (ACT/SAT) are used for academic assessment and to determine course placements. UTTC accepts the following placement exams:
- ACT or SAT scores dated within the last three years
- Accuplacer scores dated within the last three years.
- The Accuplacer test is offered year-round at UTTC for students. Contact DSS@uttc.edu to schedule an appointment. It is also available without an appointment during the New Student Welcome Weekend on campus at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters.
- Immunization Records– All applicants (campus-based and online) are required to provide proof of the following immunizations:
- MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella)
- 2 doses after the age of 1 if the student was born after 1/1/1957
- Meningitis vaccination given after the 16th birthday (if age 21 or younger)
- Tuberculosis (TB) screening for international students. UTTC has adopted the NDUS 506.1 requirement for all international students from all countries to be tested for TB unless from a country identified as low risk.
- Students with incomplete immunization records will not be admitted.

- Allow a minimum of 3-5 days before the admissions deadline for the UTTC Financial Aid Office to receive your FAFSA information after you complete the application.

Failure to complete the verification process by the deadline may result in a student not being eligible for FSA, in which case the student will need to provide other means to pay for the cost of attendance if they wish to continue as a student.

Dual Credit Student Requirements
The United Tribes Technical College Dual Credit Program provides high school students the opportunity to simultaneously earn high school and college credit by taking academically challenging and culturally relevant college courses in an online format.
Upon completion of the dual credit course, students receive a grade report from United Tribes Technical College. Students who have earned a “C” or higher receive 3 credit hours from UTTC in addition, they will receive ½ High School credit.

Non-Degree Seeking Student Requirements
A non-degree seeking student is an applicant with a high school diploma, GED, or previous college credit, who wished to take undergraduate courses and does not want to pursue a degree at UTTC.
Non-degree seeking students:
- Are not eligible for financial aid.
- Must meet the pre-requisite requirements prior to registering for courses with pre-requisites.
- May not enroll in cohort or wait-listed program courses.
- Intending to change to a degree-seeking program must re-apply for admission to a degree program.
- Are not assigned an academic advisor.
- Are not eligible for campus housing.
- Cannot register for more than 6 credits per semester.
- Will not receive a UTTC Student ID card.
- Must be in academic and financial aid good standing prior to registration.
- Must provide immunization records prior to acceptance.
- Must pay their total cost of attendance before starting classes.

Failure to complete the verification process by the deadline may result in a student not being eligible for FSA, in which case the student will need to provide other means to pay for the cost of attendance if they wish to continue as a student.
- If applying for dorms or family housing, submit a completed housing application along with your $150 application fee (or the application fee waiver form) to UTTC Housing. Please refer to the housing website at https://uttc.edu/campus-housing to download forms or for contact information.
NEXT STEPS:
The admissions process typically takes 1 – 3 weeks, depending on the UTTC Admissions office receiving your required documentation. Upon completion of the online application, you will receive an email and letter with a list of the documents you need to submit and your username and password to login to my.uttc.edu. This online portal gives you access to check your application status, and serves as your main source of information as a UTTC student.
- Applicants will also receive emails and letters every two weeks to identify missing requirements. Please make sure to check your spam or junk folders for correspondence from UTTC Admissions.
